The theme for World Fair Trade Day 2023, "Reimagining the Economy: Regenerative Businesses for the Future," underscores the imperative of transitioning our economic model towards regenerative and sustainable practices. Fair trade embodies principles of ethics and sustainability, prioritizing People & Planet over profit-driven motives.
To mark this occasion, SETU, our esteemed partner organization in India, organized a workshop for rural artisans in Govindgarh village, near Jaipur. Our team elucidated the principles of Fair Trade to the participants, emphasizing the significance of sustainability and circular processes. Approximately 60 women and men attended the workshop. These artisans specialize in crafting our exquisite and functional upcycled products using recycled materials.
Through Fair Trade, we aspire towards a future characterized by justice, peace, dignity, and universal love.
