In 2022, SETU, our partner organization in India, established a Computer Training Center for women artisans near Bagru, Rajasthan. Many of these women are employed as casual laborers in fields or in blue pottery painting work. Despite their low literacy levels and lack of access to technology, computer literacy has become an essential skill in today's digital age. Unfortunately, underprivileged and uneducated women often lack proficiency in this area, relying on others for computer-related tasks. To bridge this gap, SETU took the initiative to provide computer literacy training to these women.
Since its inception, the center has been offering free computer training, enabling many women and girls to effectively utilize computer skills. A qualified trainer conducts daily classes, ensuring comprehensive instruction and support for the participants.
