Fostering Independence and Community
We welcomed over 50 women for a workshop on entrepreneurship and self-reliance. Our goal was to help women build up their self-confidence and independence. In addition to fostering entrepreneurial skills, the workshop also provided a platform for discussing menstrual care, an important aspect of women’s health and well-being. By combining education, support, and practical resources, we aimed to provide attendees with both the knowledge and confidence to lead more empowered lives.
Stories of Resilience
Women shared their personal stories, opening up about their challenges and aspirations. This was a chance for women in the community to connect and support each other, while having an outlet to process their individual experiences. These conversations also built trust and solidarity between attendees, that we know will continue long after the workshop.
Women’s Menstrual Health and Wellness
We provided important public health information to participants about menstrual hygiene. Our goal was to ensure that each woman had access to adequate female health resources. We also distributed free sanitary napkins to attendees, providing a basic yet critical need.
Mehndi Henna Contest
While the workshop focused on serious and impactful topics, we also wanted to make sure attendees had a chance to have fun and be creative! We hosted a friendly contest in Henna Mehndi design. If you are not familiar with Henna, it is a natural red-brown dye made from Henna tree leaves. Mehndi is the traditional art of temporary tattooing. Workshop participants got a chance to show off their skills in the competition, complete with a top prize.
Overall, this workshop was a wonderful chance for women to connect and lift each other up. As we continue to support women on their journeys toward empowerment, we remain committed to offering workshops and resources that foster personal growth and community strength.
