This Earth Month marks a significant milestone for us: 20 years of artisan partnerships. Two decades ago, we set out to prove that beautiful design and environmental stewardship could coexist. Today, that mission is stronger than ever. From the vibrant textures of our upcycled sari wraps to the resonant chime of our recycled metal bells, every piece in our collection tells a story of transformation.
For twenty years, Matr Boomie has been more than a brand, it has been a movement toward a more playful, kind, compassionate, and connected world.
The Art of the Upcycled Sari
Sustainability is woven into our history. Our Upcycled Sari Wraps reclaim the silk and cotton of traditional Indian attire, ensuring these vibrant materials find a second life rather than a landfill.
Tree-Free Treasures: Recycled Paper

Our Recycled Paper Notebooks follow the same "tree-free" philosophy, turning post-consumer waste into tactile, handmade stationery through zero-toxic processes. Artisans transform discarded scraps into beautiful journals, ensuring that your writing journey leaves a light footprint on the planet.
Metal & Earth: Recycled Bells

Our iconic Bells are forged from "bell metal," an alloy often sourced from recycled scrap. Paired with sustainably sourced wood and upcycled bone accents, these pieces utilize 95% natural or recycled raw materials.
Honoring Tradition: Ethical Bone Carving

The art of Bone Carving in our collection is a testament to the "no-waste" philosophy of traditional artisan communities. We use ethically sourced, upcycled bone—a byproduct of other industries—to create intricate frames and accents. This practice honors the animal by ensuring every part is used purposefully, transforming what would be waste into a durable, heirloom-quality art form that celebrates life and legacy.
The Timelessness of Terracotta

Our Terracotta collection remains true to its origins: 100% natural clay with no synthetic additives. These pieces are shaped by hand and fired using ancient, low-impact techniques that conserve resources. Because the material is pulled directly from the earth, it eventually returns to it without a trace, embodying the perfect cycle of renewal.
Local Roots: KANDU, Austin-Made Candles
The craft continues in our home of Austin, Texas. Our Kandu candles are hand-poured by women from at-risk communities. We use 100% soy wax and natural cotton wicks, housed in reusable packaging designed to outlast the candle itself.
Thank you for being part of this movement for 20 years. Here’s to many more years of "All One. All Kin."
