An estimated 80% of the world’s disabled live in developing countries. Many mentally and physically challenged people throughout the world are stigmatized for being differently abled, and are not given the required attention and care for their needs. We proudly work with organizations focused on fostering creativity and confidence in children and adults with special needs. Through this special artisan community, children are educated with curriculum heavily focused on art as a therapeutic tool and vocational projects designed to improve coordination. The creative skills developed through our fair trade partnership enable artisans with special needs to become financially independent through understanding and empathetic employment. And the confidence they gain by developing their skills and feeling included in a community strengthen self sufficiency.
